Frequently asked questions about our Shipping Container Mobilization Products

  • How do I find out what the prices are for ContainGo products?

Complete the contact form below or call to talk with a ContainGo rep.

We would like to hear about your specific needs and applications you plan to use the equipment for.

The more you know about what these engineered solutions can do for you, the more you'll agree the price makes sense.

  • How heavy is the ContainGo Mobilizer Trailer?

The Gooseneck trailer weighs 8000 lb. and the Pintle version weights 7200 lb.

  • Do you have a version of the Mobilizer Trailer that can move 40' containers?

At this time the Mobilizer Trailer is designed to transport 20' shipping containers only.  ContainGo is actively working to design and build a Mobilizer that can transport 40' shipping containers.  This will be several years into the future.

  • What type of truck can pull the ContainGo Mobilizer Trailer?

To fully utilize the weight carrying capabilities of the Mobilizer trailer, a truck and hitch need to be rated to handle the gross vehicle weight rating of 25,000 lbs. for a Gooseneck trailer or 23,000 lbs. for a Pintle trailer.

Typically 3500 to 5500 series pick-up trucks are rated at these levels or higher.

For 2500 series trucks to be used, the trailer can be de-rated by the manufacturer so that the truck and hitch can safely pull the trailer.

  • How much weight can ContainGo End Wheels handle in a container?

The ContainGo end wheels are designed to be used with empty or lightly loaded containers.

Each wheel should be limited to 3500 lbs on irregular surfaces or up to 6000 lbs. (250,000 kilograms) on very smooth surfaces.* Static load  rating 8000 lb.

Having a container evenly loaded and the contents secured to prevent shifting can help increase the load carrying ability.

*The weight limit is not directly related to the wheel alone. If you go over these recommended weights you may damage the ISO pockets of your container. Often the wheels will carry higher weights with out failing, but the ISO pockets  can be compromised.

  • How do you lift up the front of the container when using ContainGo End Wheels?

Some operators use a chain run through the top ISO pockets and lift the chain with a forklift or similar machinery.

We recommend using the ContainGo Container Lift System.

  • Are ContainGo End Wheels complicated to use?

Our container end wheels are simple to use and do not require any tools to install. Most operators install them in one or two minutes.

  • Does the Mobilizer Trailer come with a warranty?

    • 3 year structural
    • 3  year Honda engine through manufacturer
    • 2 year Dexter axles through manufacturer
    • 1 year Pierce Winch through manufacturer
    • 1 year non wearing components
